We moved to a somewhat unusual property in January 2021 and decided at the outset that we would require a bespoke wardrobe to be fitted in the Master bedroom as readymade furniture was inappropriate. We also wanted a small bedroom converted into a purpose built office/study. After looking at various websites we eventually contacted Richard Lloyd of Cherry Tree Carpentry in March. He made it clear at the outset that he would be unable to complete any work for several months and after discussing our requirements at our home produced plans and designs for our consideration. We were impressed by his professionalism and attention to detail and decided to engage him. We also visited his workshop at his suggestion to inspect furniture which was already in production. This confirmed to us the high quality of his workmanship. Perhaps unsurprisingly given various problems caused by the pandemic and also unforeseen circumstances beyond his control, the original fitting date of late September was put back until December for the wardrobes and January for the study. However he was proactive throughout in keeping us informed of progress and the wait was undoubtedly worthwhile as the finished work exceeded our already high expectations and all our friends and family who have seen the finished products agree that the work has been carried out to an extremely high standard. I have a small period cottage with a small galley kitchen and far too little cupboard space, so the design was far from easy. Richard designed, made and fitted a corner unit for our lounge to hide an electric distribution board. From the first appointment he always turned up exactly when he said he would and we had very good communication throughout the work. We are thoroughly pleased with the finished unit. Richard designed and built a fitted wardrobe for a very narrow eaves space in our bedroom. Because most of the wardrobe cutting work was done offsite and then put together on site there was very little mess - and Richard cleared up the small amount of mess that was created. He was very professional throughout with a very good eye for detail and for making sure the work was done to a very high standard. Every detail seemed to have been thought of! We're very happy with our wardrobe and can highly recommend him to others.
