What a fab little tavern! I hadn't been in here since it opened but have to say may be my favourite pub in North Walsham. Cosy and a great atmosphere.

I went for a pub quiz last night, they were all very welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely. The building is bigger than I thought! The staff were very lovely and I will be going back soon!

Great little 'hidden gem'.
The small exterior belies what's within, as it extends further back than you think!
Some lovely, uncommon beers on tap.

A lovely well appointed pub with very welcoming staff and friendly locals. Very dog friendly, and they even let you eat your takeaway food there. My husband says the beer is also very good!

A great pub and friendly atmosphere. Very dog friendly too! The beer was well kept, all down to the excellent manager. We will be back.

This was an Excellent pub that we visited while staying in North Walsham for a funeral and I have to say it lifted our moods immensely, Adam one of the owners made us feel very welcome along with the other staff, but also the regulars and locals where all very nice and friendly, the pub had a great chilled vibe about it, they have great themed nights where you can get cheap food and live entertainment, the Friday we visited Adam did a live acoustics gig and it was brilliant with songs through the generations and lots of audience participation, to note he is a professional musician.
We live in Surrey so unfortunately we may not get the chance to visit again but if we are that way again we shall do for sure, I only wish there where more pubs like this about, would thoroughly recommend it. Also as a side note they allow you to bring food in from outside and provide you with cutlery etc we did not eat as we had eaten previously hence why I didn't leave a rating for food.

We are a family of 5, myself my husband and my 3 boys, 2 of my boys are neurodivergent, autism and adhd, the atmosphere and setting has to be right if we are to stay at length anywhere, we stayed all evening!
There was live music which was brilliant! The pub itself does not serve food, but there was an option that evening to order in the most delicious pizzas I've ever tasted! My husband ordered by whats app and within 20 minutes they had been delivered to the pub to our table! Amazing!!
We sat in a cosy nook type area of the pub with sofas, so we were very comfortable. The decor is beautiful, one of the nicest little pubs I've ever been in, it was clean too no sticky tables.
My children felt safe we stayed until just after 10pm, people were there to have fun and enjoy themselves there wasn't any trouble it had a family friendly vibe and my youngest lad was up and dancing along to the music which is unheard of!
The drinks are reasonably priced local ales and very refreshing cider which went down a treat as it was a hideously hot day!
And then there is the staff, I myself have worked in pubs as bar staff and it is a tiresome job...borderline tedious in some cases but at the Peasants Tavern there was not a member of staff that didn't look happy in their work, so welcoming, a genuine happiness to make peoples experience a good one! Not just service with a smile.
I would recommend The Peasants Tavern and we will certainly be back again.
5 stars would give more if there was the option.

A ‘proper’ real ale pub serving five real ales that vary constantly but always includes a bitter and a stout/porter.
They also sell ciders, some craft beers and bottled beers plus spirits and wine.
There are quiz, curry and open mic nights.
Kate and Adam were excellent hosts and even gave us a lift back to our campsite when heavy rain came at the end of the night .

We went here early evening last night. We popped in for one after reading other people’s posts / reviews and all was true, both Charlie and Kate were very friendly and welcoming and took the time to come over and have a chat. If we lived here this would be our new local. We did stop for another beer which was a dark beer called “Oscar Wilde” also recommended. Very much a 5* experience, thank you
